In the tech news of the week I would like to share a Latest news about Coolpad itself. A new alleged smartphone named Cool C107 is rumored to be coming soon from Coolpad. The details of this device got spotted on TENAA which is a Chinese certification agency.

The features of the device include a 5.5 inch Full HD display along with an octacore processor, 3GB of RAM, 13mp rear and 8mp front cameras, fingerprint scanner, 4000 mAh battery etc. The phone surely looks to be a strong performer considering the specs and it would be built together by LeEco and Coolpad and hence we can expect a premium quality device at an affordable price.

You can read about this device in more detail from my thread under Coolpad news section.

One More Best News Is
Microsoft Open Sources AI Toolkit
Microsoft this week released an updated version of its Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit as an open source Beta.

The deep learning system is used to speed advances in areas such as speech and image recognition and search relevance on CPUs and Nvidia GPUs. It also works with Microsoft's Azure GPU offering.

The Microsoft computer scientists who developed the toolkit initially were looking for a tool to speed up and improve their own research. Initially called "Microsoft/CNTK," it morphed into an offering that Microsoft customers and flagship product groups depend on for a wide variety of deep learning tasks, the company said.

Google plans to develop more India specific features for Google Maps

With more than 5,000 cities and six lakh villages mapped in India, the company is aiming to develop more country-relevant features. Street View will allow users to explore world landmarks, discover natural wonders, and step inside locations such as museums, arena, parks and transport hubs. In India's immediate neighbourhood, countries like Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have it in the south Asian region while Indonesia in the southeast, and Japan are deploying it.
Named Intersections and local guides program will be launched soon. Google is also exploring partnership with the Railways for real-time train travel data...
Three Cheers for Google........
